Eriketa Cirulli is a native of Buffalo, NY dancing with Darlene Ceglia's Dance Project since the age of 5. In 2010, she graduated from Buffalo State College with a B.A in Arts and Letters in with Dance/Theater concentration, and minor in childhood education. While studying at Buffalo State, she was a member of the dance company, having the opportunity to perform at a variety of community events throughout the western New York area. She was the recipient of the Student Undergraduate Research fellowship granting her the opportunity to study the American dance vernacular in the jazz genre at Hubbard Street, Giordano Jazz Dance and River North Dance in Chicago IL, as well as the recipient of the Outstanding Dancer Scholarship upon completion of her academic career. She also traveled to Beijing China on a study abroad program to better understand how their kinesthetic art form is created based on historical cultural and aesthetic attributions of their country. The language of dance gestures is universal and a basic movement. The body language communicates a message through abstracted movement which is the impulse for dance choreography. Keta believe this allows for a better understanding of the world and what her role in it.
